Most major cities across the globe, the authors claim, need to strengthen their health-care systems, improve communications with citizens, ensure sourcing of food and services, fight for equality, and make nature a priority.

Inside the quest to track one of humanity’s tiniest deadly predators

Dr. Katie Clow's research is featured in the September-October issue of The Walrus. Katie Clow is a GIER Affiliate Member and Assistant Professor of One Health in the Department of Population Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. Her research focuses on the ecology and epidemiology of vectors and vector-borne zoonoses, with a specific emphasis on the blacklegged tick and Lyme disease.
