Inside the quest to track one of humanity’s tiniest deadly predators

Dr. Katie Clow's research is featured in the September-October issue of The Walrus. Katie Clow is a GIER Affiliate Member and Assistant Professor of One Health in the Department of Population Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. Her research focuses on the ecology and epidemiology of vectors and vector-borne zoonoses, with a specific emphasis on the blacklegged tick and Lyme disease.

Sustainable Development Goals: pandemic reset

In 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which represent global objectives to improve both nature and people’s lives by the year 2030. According to Robin Naidoo and Brendan Fisher, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, two-thirds of those goals are no longer achievable.
