Right on time to celebrate Earth Day (April 22), GIER communicated the results of its Small Grants Program. With an investment of CAD 90,000 GIER is funding six new environmental research projects.
These projects involve interdisciplinary collaborations and reflect a wide range of themes within the environmental sciences: from improve ecosystem management and water quality in recreational areas, to restoring ancestral biodiversity of crops and revitalize cultural foodways in Anishinaabe-Aki, to determining how to narrate the truths of climate science and inspire change for conservation.
