“How do we, or should we, work between disciplines to discover new truths about the environment and/or our relationship to it?“
As part of our fall activities, GIER hosted a special gathering of researchers, writers, artists, and environmental thinkers on October 28, 2022 to celebrate our Collaboratory for Creative Writing, Environmental Sciences, and the Arts. This Collaboratory is one of the few places in Canada where creative writers, artists, and scientists can regularly come together to investigate and co-produce in real time. These new programs focus on finding new and unique ways of articulating our environmental problems and ultimately, seeing knowledge move to practice, and vice-versa.
We were so pleased that distinguished poets and professors Rae Armantrout and Forrest Gander, were able to join us for this session.
