Current Research

My project aims to quantify the deuterium isotope effect through the measurement of equilibrium constants, enthalpies of reaction, and heat capacities in acid-base systems of light and heavy water. This data can be used to develop the first heavy water chemical equilibrium models, applicable to the nuclear industry for primary coolant and moderator chemistry optimization. Experiments are performed via Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) and conductivity measurements.
