Continuous Delivery Updates for January 2026

As part of D2L’s ongoing commitment to accessibility, we partnered with an external auditor to conduct our annual review of Brightspace and Pulse against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards. Based on audit findings and internal expertise, we implemented a wide range of accessibility and usability improvements across learner, instructor, administrator, and media workflows. These updates enhance support for assistive technologies by improving semantics, focus behavior, contrast, text spacing and reflow, and overall navigation. Where changes were not feasible, known limitations and recommended workarounds are documented in our public Accessibility Reports.

Continuous Delivery Updates for December 2025

To improve accessibility and usability in CourseLink, multiple older tab groups have been updated to align with the modern style that exists in other parts of the user interface.

Continuous Delivery Updates for November 2025

With this release, CourseLink improves visual consistency and accessibility by updating progress bar indicators across several tools. These improvements enhance support for screen readers and assistive technologies.

Continuous Delivery Updates for October 2025

Learners can now always see the Comments and Assessments column in Grades, ensuring that feedback and links to assessments are consistently visible. The column is no longer conditionally displayed, supporting additional links from tools such as Rubrics, Dropbox, and Quizzes.

Continuous Delivery Updates for September 2025

Instructors now have the option to record only the screen during an online assessment – no webcam required. This is especially useful for in-classroom exams where the instructor wants to observe how a student answers questions. For example, an instructor might like to see how a student uses Excel to analyze a problem, or how a short essay was developed by the student.
