CAVN Fellows, Dr. Sarah Abood and Shoshana Verton-Shaw, provided a Choosing Pet Food workshop at the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT) Conference on March 7, 2020 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
This two-hour workshop was designed for participants to examine and compare different types of pet food labels up close, including over-the-counter diets, treat packages, some supplements, and several product guides for veterinary therapeutic diets. By examining what is and is not on the label, participants gained a better understanding of how and when different products might be appropriate for specific pet patients. Check out the OAVT website for more information and details on registration!
